Enrolment (and Admission requirements)

The Ecole Supérieure d’Art et de Design Toulon Provence Méditerranée is a high-level education establishment accessible for those possessing a Baccalaureate (or approved equivalent diploma).

Enrolment at the ESDATPM is only possible if applicants pass the entrance exam or are accepted by the Admission Committee.

1st year entrance examinations

Two entrance examination sessions are programmed each year: one in May and one in September.

The entrance examinations are composed of the following tests:

  • a questionnaire on the candidate's experience and motivations
  • a dissertation on a chosen subject related to the arts,
  • a written language test : in either English, German, Spanish or in French for non-French speaking candidates,
  • a practical test in a field of art,
  • an interview with a jury during which the candidate presents a portfolio of their original work.

Admissions committee

The ESADTPM offers candidates the possibility of integrating the school after acceptance of their application by the Admissions Committee.

1)- Commission for enrolment during the academic year

Two admission sessions are programmed each year: one in April/May and one in September

French and foreign students are eligible to apply for enrolment if they have successfully completed one or more years of study in a French art school that is recognised by the Ministry of Culture.

The examinations are composed of the following tests:

  • an interview with a jury during which the candidate presents a portfolio of their original work,
  • a written language test in French for non-French speaking candidates.

2)- Commission for enrolment during the academic year requiring authorisation by the national equivalence committee

One session is programmed each year in April/May.

Candidates eligible for enrolment during the academic year are:

  • students having completed the short cycle (DNAT) and are seeking to pursue their studies in the long cycle;
  • French and foreign students who have not studied in a French art school that is recognised by the Ministry of Culture (refer to list of qualifications/diplomas obtained that is availabe at the General Admission's Office).

The examinations are composed of the following tests:

  • an interview with a jury during which the candidate presents a portfolio of their original work;
  • a written language test in French for non-French speaking candidates.

Students of foreign nationality are subject to the same application requirements and procedures as French students.
